Have you ever had a guy friend whom you thought would be the best friend forever? I have. In fact many time… But soon enough I learned that there’s no such thing as a guy friend. Once he finds his girlfriend (and the girlfriend becomes his fiance and eventually his wife), they ONLY hang out with guys! I know that’s a good thing… But how about the time and effort I spent to build our friendship???
I met Krisoye at University of Chicago. He is such a nice, considerate and funny person whom I would have considered to be a life-long friend. But since I learned the lesson earlier I didn’t even try. :) And of course, when Krisoye met Lindsey, he started spending more and more time with Lindsey and less and less with people at school. Actually I don’t think Krisoye even hung out with guys, either. He was MIA all the way through graduation!!!
But luckily, Lindsey liked my photos and hired me as her wedding photographer. Not only I was super thrilled to photograph their wedding but also excited to keep in touch with them! Over the last 15 months or so since her engagement, we have became amazing friends. I still don’t talk to Krisoye very often, but Lindsey will be my great friend forever…!!!
Lindsey and Krisoye – Thanks a lot for inviting me to your wedding! I hope to capture the history of your family as it gets bigger! :) Have fun on your honeymoon!!!
Look how beautiful these are! Lindsey is an extremely talented DIY bride and made all of these by herself! Where did she get all the materials? eBay!
Pink is probably the most popular color for weddings. You know why… :) So romantic!
Here she is. My lovely bride! Oh, should I have said “Krisoye’s” lovely bride? :)
Krisoye and Lindsey. In Asia, a turtle represent a long healthy life. Lindsey and Krisoye – I wish you a long, healthy life together!
It was really hot outside so we wanted to wait till the weather cools down a bit in the evening. But we also had T-storm forecast. So what did we do? We just grabbed a couple shots really quick just in case it rains in evening, and decided to come back out later for more photos if the weather stays dry.
The ceremony and the exchange of the rings. And Lindsey and Krisoye’s proud parents!
I love when the bridesmaids have this “I’m really happy for you” look. It only happens when the bride is an awesome person and her friends really love her. Lindsey, I’m jealous! You got not only one, but three of them!!!
Lindsey made her guests to sing if they want the bride and groom to kiss. What a cute idea! Everyone had a great time singing, laughing and giggling!
Happy bride
This is the famous “Guest Sign-In Album”!!! Their guests were able to look at the photos and think of more creative things to say, rather than the simple (and somewhat boring) “congrats!”
I think this photo is epic. Sorry for being too proud of my own photo! I just wanted to use the word, “Epic”… Not sure why but I’m in love with this word these days… :)
They look so happy together! Honestly, I can’t imagine them arguing…
Do you see the mobile? Lindsey worked on the installation of the mobile!
Lindsey likes mix & match, vintage look. My photos are usually more of fresh, modern and clean look but I gave a little vintage twist on this photo for Lindsey. Linsey, I hope you like it!
After watching Avatar 3D, I’m hugely into 3D effect. Look at this photo for 3 minutes! Focus your eyes on Krisoye. Do you see him jumping out your monitor? You should…
Creative bride + fun wedding party = stylish photos!
