As a photographer, I often get up at 4 in the morning to utilize the golden light right after the sun rises. I spent a week in New Mexico alone, getting up at 4 in the morning everyday to photograph the birds’ fly out happening right after sunrise. I dragged my mom to the top of numerous pagodas at 5 in the morning to make sure I get the best photos of the view in Bagan, Myanmar. But I have never asked my brides and grooms to wake up 4 in the morning to have their picture taken. It’s a little too much to ask, right?
But for some reason, I had the courage to ask Julie if she and Calvin are up for a sun-rise photo-session, and to my surprise, they said yes!
Pictures turned out amazing!!! The light in the early morning is just gorgeous. It looks beautiful on birds, on numerous mountains and canyons. And it looks even better when it’s on Julie and Calvin’s faces. I love how the light illuminates Julie’s hair, and how it brings out such a romantic flare when Julie and Calvin look at each other.
This little squirrel came by and ran around Julie and Calvin. Calvin hates squirrel but apparently squirrel doesn’t hate Calvin!
Cherry blossom. Late bloomers.
These photos are so romantic. Love the soft colors and the flare!
