I have to admit. I love Google Analytics. It sounds geeky, but it’s actually fun to see who comes to visit my site. I have visitors from over 50 countries in the last few months, and that makes me happy. People from the countries that I’ve never visited somehow found my blog and got to know my existence. Some of them are from countries like Iran, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia which I’ve always wanted to visit but couldn’t, and some are from countries like Estonia and Lithuania which I didn’t even know about. I’m sure lots of them came across my site by accident, but it’s still exciting.
Another reason why I like Google Analytics is because it lets me find out HOW people hear about me. A lot of people find me through Google search, but sometime the clicks are coming from random sites that refer me for various reasons. A couple months ago, I found out that someone listed me as her favorite photographer. And recently I also found out that I was featured on ILovePhotoBlogs.com as one of the Top 10 Wedding Photographers in Baltimore! Thanks to Google Analytics…
